Description:
Union Pacific's Rock Salt Train heads west down UP Sharp Subdivision for a load of rock salt near the small Utah town of Nephi. This train hauls rock salt for the city of Denver. On this crystalline day in January saw tempratures in the mid to upper 40's to near 50! After being socked in the 20's for so long. Mount Timpanogos sure looks good caked in winter snow.

UNION PACIFIC'S ROCK SALT TRAIN UNIVERSITY AVENUE,PROVO,UTAH JANUARY 17,2010.
Description:
After having to back it's train clear past Provo's Backman Foundry, 7821 and train finally got the green light to enter UP's Provo Yard. This train will load up with rock salt at Nephi from there it will return to Denver. After being so cold for so long with highs only in the 20's it finally got up to the mid to upper 40's. IT FELT GOOD!

Union Pacific's Rock Salt Train (Empty) rolls past newly installed signals at Provo's Freedom Boulevard Grade Crossing. The train will cross over from main one to main two and into Union Pacific's Provo Yard at University Avenue. This train bound for a reload of rock salt at Nephi,Utah from there after reloading,It will return east towards Denver from Provo across former D&RGW Rails.
